WEEK 28: Three witnesses

Hi!
Thought:
President Cummings spoke at the fireside/devotional we had for our ward, and it was quite insightful. There were not a lot of people who came, but the spirit was present and I watched everyone feel it. He said something that I wanted to share. None of us were physically present for Joseph Smith's first vision, but there were 3 witnesses. Which were: Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. As we seek our OWN witness of that event, we simply ask the Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, and feel the truth confirmed by the Holy Ghost. "Out of the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established". As we ask the witnesses themselves of the event, we receive the truth. President Cummings said, "Heavenly Father himself was there, so if you ask him sincerely, He will tell you that!" I just loved this simple way of explaining to pray to know the truth. Loved it.

Ina came to church for the 4th time this week and it has been a wonderful journey with her. She opened up even more and asked us those "questions of the soul". She told us she has been asking herself those things for over ten years but has never felt the courage to ask her Pastor in China. She asked about where her grandfather was, he was a good person but never knew about Jesus Christ. We joyfully responded with the spirit world, and that he was learning about Christ now. Tears filled her eyes and she was so relieved and I physically felt it. As we were able to explain the Plan of Salvation (more in depth than we've shared before) she just kept thanking us. Shi shi everyone!

Challenge for the week: Get to know someone you see often but don't talk to.. it could be someone in class, work, church, etc. Reach out and share Heavenly Father's love!

.
.
If someone just popped in your mind, take that as a prompting and go talk to them. You will be blessed for it :)

Love you all!
